Abstract

Grey wolf optimization (GWO) algorithm is a new nature-inspired meta-heuristic algorithm inspired by the social hierarchy and hunting behavior of grey wolves. For GWO algorithm is easily trapped in local optimum and the convergence rate is not ideal. In this paper, we use the improved grey wolf optimization (IGWO) algorithm to Optimal Pattern Synthesis of linear Array Antenna. IGWO algorithm improves convergence factor, adjusting its global search capability and convergence rate. According to the experimental results, IGWO algorithm has been successfully used to reduce the side lobe level (SLL) and form deep null levels in designed directions which meets the design requirements well.
