Abstract

Models for determining optimal levels of output and inventory are formulated here in situations where the market demand function has stochastic components and the information process is imperfect. Several features of imperfect stochastic markets are emphasized here, for example, role of incomplete information, randomized decision rules and the costs of adjustment due to inventory costs being partly concave and partly convex.
