Abstract

Means of reducing nitrogen-oxide emissions are considered for the system with gas-flux recirculation in a heating duct described in the first part of this work. On the basis of the formation kinetics of thermal nitrogen oxides—predominantly nitric oxide (NO)—the NO concentration in the gas fluxes may be determined as a function of the temperature and air-fuel equivalence ratio. A heating system with cogeneration is proposed. This system combines uniform coke heating over the furnace height (by recirculation) and power generation.
