Abstract

The green and renewable distribution generation (DG) has gradually attracted people's attention with its wide, clean and sustainable characteristics. However, the DG connected to the grid will affect the economic operation of the grid. Virtual power plant (VPP) provides an opportunity to increase the popularity of green and renewable DG. In this paper, the model of VPP is established, then methods of scenario generation and reduction are used to deal with the uncertainty of photovoltaic (PV). With the aim of minimizing the total cost of VPP in a day, the economic dispatching model is built. Case study shows that, comparing to the mode without VPP, the dispatching in the mode of VPP considering the uncertainty of PV can improve the economic benefit at no less than 10.6%.
