Abstract

The problem of the combined control system combining natural light and artificial light is how to use natural light maximally and maintain the regulated illumination of office building at the same time. This paper addressed this issue by presenting a model named maximum natural lighting minimum artificial lighting (MNLMAL) based on matrix theory. The main idea of MNLMAL is using the natural light as much as possible and considering the artificial light as a supplement. The MNLMAL approach is the first attempt to extend the concept of the natural daylight factor and use natural daylight factor function matrix to connect indoor illumination distribution with the outdoor illumination. This paper introduces illumination characteristic value and large illumination characteristic value means more use of natural light. When the natural daylight illumination matrix is calculated, the way to adjust lamps can be obtained. In this paper, the way is the general inverse of matrix. According to the simulation part, this model proved to be effective.
