Abstract
This paper addresses the control of islanded microgrid performances under dynamic system conditions. The performance of microgrid is effected by load dynamics, uncertainty and produces an unsafe operation of microgrid. In this paper, a robust Integral Linear-Quadratic Gaussian (ILQG) controller is designed for controlling microgrid voltage against different uncertainties. The design of this controller is based on a comparative performances analysis of optimal controllers namely Linear-Quadratic Regulator (LQR) controller, Linear-Quadratic Gaussian (LQG) controller, Model predictive Controller (MPC) and Resonant Controller (RC)and find out most optimum controller for voltage control. Matlab Simulink is used to evaluated the performance of single phase islanded microgrid. The comparison results show that the proposed controller is capable of providing high tracking and optimum performance as compared to other controllers.
