Abstract

The air storage pressure of the compressed air energy storage system gradually decreases during the energy release process. In order to make the turbine work efficiently in non-design conditions, it is necessary to adopt a reasonable air distribution method for the turbine. In this paper, the orthogonal experimental design is carried out on the inlet pressure of the nozzle under different base pressure. Based on the response surface method, the optimal nozzle governing method corresponding to different base pressure under required output work conditions is obtained by multi-island genetic algorithm. The optimal NG method can improve the w by up to 9.2 % compared with throttle governing. To meet the output work requirement, an optimal NG method should have as few nozzles as possible and more nozzles with the same inlet pressure as the BP.
