Abstract

The output voltage range of renewable energy generations such as wind and photovoltaic can be influenced by the parameters of environment at a wide range, which can not satisfy the requirements of system for grid-connected operation. Therefore high-gain voltage inverter is important to integrate the renewable energy into the utility. For high-gain voltage and standard load voltage at low input DC voltage, in this paper the proposed switching inductor based tri-state three-phase current source inverter (CSI) is optimally designed in parameters of the DC inductors network. And the theoretical analysis is performed on the performance of the proposed CSI. The simulation and experiment results highlight its characteristics of high gain and wide range input DC voltage compared to the traditional tri-state CSI.
