Abstract

Background and aims: Controlled attenuation parameter (CAP) is widely available in India for diagnosing liver steatosis. However, data regarding the optimal cut-off values of CAP for diagnosing liver steatosis are scarce. Magnetic resonance imaging proton-density fat fraction (MRI-PDFF) is an accurate technique for quantifying liver steatosis. Thus, this study examined the diagnostic accuracy and the optimal cut-off values of CAP for diagnosing liver steatosis with MRI-PDFF as reference standard.
