Abstract

Outline of the system canfigulations and operating experiencies of the optimal regulators, which are implemented at four supercritical thermal power plants in Kyushu Electric Power Company, are described. More advanced two control systems, which are planned in the company, are also introduced. They are, (1) the control system with a feedback which is computed by Linear Programming and provides optimal pole arrangement to suppress steam temperature fluctuations due to plant load changes, and (2) an optimal regula tor wi th fee.dforward function, in which measurable disturbances to the plant are utilized for building state observers and feedback controllers. Control performances of these systems are described with some experimental results which were obtained on the system models.
