Abstract

Society is increasingly dependent on communication technology. With the rapid development of communication technology, frequency resources are increasingly in demand. Because the frequency resources are finite, they have become more and more valuable. Therefore, more optimized channel allocation methods are urgently needed to maximize communication quality with limited frequency resources. This paper make the research about the performance of different frequency allocation methods in a specific communication environment to find the optimal channels allocation method for different environments. This paper simulates the communication environments and obtains the performance of each channel allocation methods in different environments by MATLAB. The performances of methods can be represented by the capacities of networks. Higher capacity indicates the better performance of this method. Comparing the capacities, it can be acquired that which method is optimal in this communication environment. According to the comparisons, the following conclusions are confirmed: firstly, in the network with certain number of cells, the construction of the network should be more lumped to achieve higher capacity. Secondly, using simultaneous water-filling(SWF) and Transmit interference temperature limit(tx-ITL) algorithm can achieve higher capacity in the busy network. Additionally, the capacity of all methods increase with the growth of cellular radius. Finally, the capacity of the network will be higher when the power is allocated more on the frequency channels at cell center. This paper can be used to save frequency resources in the construction of practical communication network.
