Abstract

With the increase of electric vehicles, the traditional charging station transformers will not be able to meet the need of capacity. In this paper, the scheduling strategy of charging station which based on the consideration of time-of-use (TOU) electricity tariff and capacity expansion was formulated. The capacity optimization model was established with the goal of maximizing the annual net profit of PV storage charging station (PSCS), the constraints of power balance, capacity limitation and safe operation of energy storage battery. The rain flow counting method was used to measure the battery life in order to accurately calculate the battery replacement times in the model. The economic feasibility of using PV and energy storage to slow down the expansion was verified by the calculation and analysis of a charging station in Xi'an. The results show that LiFePO <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">4</inf> batteries have obvious arbitrage effect when the price of LiFePO <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">4</inf> batteries is lower than 1400 CNY / kWh. The achievements of this paper can not only improve the economic benefits of the PSCS, but also ensure the safe and stable operation of the PSCS.
