Abstract
Increasing application on distribution networks is the direct impact of DG placement of technology and the energy disasters that the world is encountering. DG operate as standalone remote applications with the required power. Optimum locations and sizes of DG sources have created impact on power losses, voltage profile, and voltage stability of a distribution network. This work adopts the WOA optimization technique as the multi-objective function for optimal allocation and sizing of DGs in distribution systems. A detailed analysis is carried out on a IEEE 69 bus Radial Distribution System to express the effectiveness of proposed method. The results obtained by the proposed method outperform the other methods in terms of quality of the solution and computation efficiency.
