Abstract

Spin coherence transients in the photo-excited 3B 1-state of F 2+ 2 centers in CaO were studied at low magnetic field strengths. An enhanced coherence decay rate is observed when cross-relaxation with F + centers occurs. The results are representative for a rapid contact between a triplet spin packet and the homogeneously narrowed S = 1 2 spin reservoir.
