Abstract

With the development of optoelectronic imaging technology, to obtain wider spatial range and higher resolution information of imaged object, space optical remote sensor system gradually developed toward long focal length and high resolution. A compact space optical remote sensor system with high resolution is designed, it has an orbital height of 500 km. The space optical remote sensor is composed of a front R-C Cassegrain system and a rear spherical lens group. The optical system has a spectral region from 0.45 to 0.75 μm, focal length of 5400 mm, F number of 9, full field of view of angle of 0.8° × 0.8°, and pixel size of 10 μm. The system has a ground pixel resolution (GPR) of 0.926 m, single landscape width (SLW) of 7 km × 7 km. The modulation transfer function (MTF) of the system is better than 0.45 at Nyquist frequency in the full field of view, which is almost diffraction limited. The system has a maximum RMS spot radius of 5.8 μm, maximum F-Theta distortion of 1.01%, maximum RMS wavefront aberration of 0.08 waves (500 nm).
