Abstract

Domain structures of Ba(Ti1−xSnx)O3 (x = 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.13) ceramics were observed dynamically under an electric field at various temperatures using a high‐resolution charge‐coupled‐device (CCD) microscope system. The Ba(Ti1−xSnx)O3 ceramics showed a significant difference in domain structure and motion with changing composition: the domain structure became tiny and complex with increasing x, and the domain reorientation was easily induced with increasing and decreasing electric field. The results of the domain observations coincided well with electrical measurement data.
