Optical Studies of the Finger Print Removers

Abstract

An investigation was made on the finger print removing action of rust preventive oils by using the light microscope in relation to their performance. The finger print removing action of the rust preventive oils takes place in the following five steps:(1) Condensation of water on the finger print.(2) Dissolution of the finger print into water and removing of small-size water drop from the finger print.(3) Sphering of the water drops dissolving the finger print.(4) Re-solubilization of the water drops in rust preventive oils.(5) Removal of the water drops by slushing.
