Abstract

Abstract The dielectric function of quinquethiophene crystals are calculated in the framework of macroscopic theory using Lorentz oscillators to fit the measured reflectance, absorption, and ellipsometry spectra assuming a simple uniaxial model with only electronic transitions. These dielectric function are compared with those obtained from the reflectance spectra via a Kramers-Kronig transformation.
