Abstract
In this paper, we consider the SIT type equations with group velocity dispersion, Kerr nonlinearity, higher order dispersion, self-steepening and pumping effects and analyse the dynamics of ultra short pulse propagation in nonlinear resonant fibre. The nature of the pulse propagation is governed by the nonlinear Schrödinger-Maxwell Bloch (NLS-MB) type equations. Considering the isospectral and non-isospectral eigen value parameter, we generate the soliton solutions through the Bäcklund transformation method.
