Abstract

Ocular microtremor (OMT) is a high frequency tremor of the eyes. The mean OMT peak count frequency in the normal population is 87 Hz. It is an activity which originates in the brainstem. Parameters of eye movements between saccades go beyond the resolution of the most popular modern video recording means. We used high-speed video recording of eye microtremor. The working hypothesis of the study is that the eye tremor indicators are objective and adequate indicators of the functional state (FS) of a person. We received data on the changes in the frequency and amplitude of tremor in schizophrenia and patients with hallucinatory and delusional disorder.
