Abstract

Optical Ramsey resonance is reviewed as an ultra-high resolution laser spectroscopic method. Four zone optical Ramsey resonance with travelling waves is explained with the interaction geometry of an atomic beam and laser fields. The studies on the Ca intercombination line utilizing optical Ramsey resonance are described . The performance of a Ca stabilized dye laser referenced to optical Ramsey resonance is also discussed.
