Abstract

Optical properties of an interface boundary containing thin inhomogeneous transitional layers have been investigated within the framework of the classical Maxwell electrodynamics with the use of generalized functions. As a particular case, expressions for reflection coefficients have been obtained for S- and P-polarized light.
