Abstract

In this study, the optical properties of multilayer MoS2 at various temperatures and incident powers were studied. The multilayer MoS2 exhibits two excitonic bands and an indirect band gap transition. We found from the incident power dependence of photoluminescence that the bands exhibit a redshift with increasing incident power. For high-power excitation, a new band emerges near the indirect band and intensity ratio between the excitonic band and indirect band shows peculiar incident power dependence. We conclude that the emergence of a new band and incident power-dependent intensity ratio originate from the elevation of temperature and the morphological change, respectively.
