Abstract

In this paper, stepping motor, ball screw workbench and some special fixtures were used to design a reciprocating sliding test rig, whose sliding speed and load force is controllable. Besides, a non-contact three coordinates measuring instrument based on the principle of laser auto-focusing was designed, which could work in the accuracy of 0.1 μm to measure the metal surface. The instrument could draw the 3D topography map and also could be used to calculate the wear volume accurately. The test methods adopted the tenet of low speed, fractional load, reciprocating repeat, and uninterrupted lubrication, which could avoid the influencing factor like temperature sharply, system vibration, abrasive particle gather, and so on. The surface topography measured by the instrument in different time periods were contrast observed and the sign of agglutination phenomenon couldn't be found.
