Abstract
We study the effect of the non-eikonal corrections on the determination of heavy-ion optical potential from the diffraction model phase shifts at intermediate energies. Considering the case of a - system at 1016 MeV and the McIntyre parametrization for the diffraction model phase shifts, we find that the effect is significant for the imaginary potential around the diffraction radius.
