Abstract

The use of the very efficient nonlinear medium of dye molecules held in glue films is described for optical phase conjugation (OPC) experiments using an argon ion laser. The medium is attractive because it is inexpensive, easy to prepare and a large signal-to-noise ratio can be obtained. It is suitable for introducing OPC in postgraduate laboratory courses.
