Abstract

A description is given of a spectrometer for linear absorption measurements in the infrared. An optical parametric oscillator (OPO) based on a LiNbO3 crystal pumped by the second harmonic of a neodymiumdoped garnet laser was used as a tunable source of coherent radiation. Using this OPO, a resolution of 105 was achieved.
