Abstract
A simpler method for calculating the tuning curve of optical parametric generation (OPG) with a biaxial crystal is presented. By using this method we can calculate the effective nonlinear coefficient, the walk-off angle and acceptance parameters in any orientation accurately. The results provide an optimum operation of OPG. Inthis method all formulas are simpler and more symmetric. The method can also apply to other three-wave interactions with a biaxial crystals.
