Abstract
From an analysis of photometric observations a more precise value of the period of HD 77581-2U 0900-40 has been determined, namely, 8.972(1) days. From an analysis of the photometric, spectroscopic, and X-ray eclipse observations the mass ratio is approximately 0.08 and sin i = 1.0. Evidence for an elliptical orbit and further evidence for mass loss are presented. Subject headings: binaries - early-type stars - luminous stars - mass loss - stars, individual - X-ray sources
