Abstract

Optical nonuniformities in the nuclear-pumped gas lasers are calculated. The nonuniformities are formed due to inhomogeneous energy deposition by the fission fragments from thin plane uranium layers that irradiate the laser active gas. The results of calculations agree with experimental data.
