Abstract

An optical sensor for the determination of H2 and CO concentration in a mixture with air has been developed. The sensor has an explosion-proof design, which is achieved by the use of an optical measurement scheme. Tests of this sensor during the simuetaneous determination of H2 and CO concentration showed a high sensitivity and selectivity of optical elements based on gasochromic WO3 /Pd and NiOOH films. It has been shows that the main change in light transmission range 0,1-4 vol. % H2 or CO in air
