Abstract

A fixed-energy potential-inversion method is employed to generate an optical-model potential to fit the elastic-scattering data for 16O + 28Si at 21.1 and 34.8 MeV. The fit yields a potential that is based on a standard Woods–Saxon potential and yields minor modifications to it.
