Abstract

The optical model analysis is carried out for elastic scattering 15 MeV deuterons on Y 89, Nb 93, Mo 96, Ag 107 and Er 166. Spin-orbit interaction is neglected, and the volume absorption nuclear potential is considered. More than one set of optical parameters were found to give satisfactory fitting with the experimental data. The effect of varying the optical model parameters on the angular distribution of the elastic scattering of deuterons is studied and discussed.
