Abstract

Fast neutron scattering cross section and analyzing power measurements have been performed for $^{27}\mathrm{Al}$, $^{\mathrm{nat}}\mathrm{Cu}$, and $^{\mathrm{nat}}\mathrm{Cr}$ at incident neutron energies of ${E}_{n}$=7.62 MeV (Al) and ${E}_{n}$=7.75 MeV (Cu,Cr). Elastic scattering and inelastic scattering to the first excited states has been measured at angles from 21\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} to 124\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}. The scattering data obtained from the unfolded proton-recoil scintillation spectra were corrected for multiple scattering effects. Optical model parameters could be deduced by applying the excited-core weak-coupling model for a coupled channels analysis.
