Abstract

This paper discusses the results of the development, fabrication, and thermooptical testing of optical mirrors made from various materials for space-based IR systems that operate at cryogenic temperatures. Results are presented that show that it is possible to create optical mirrors with the necessary accuracy of the optical surfaces at operating temperatures of 10-15K as part of devices and systems up to 900mm in diameter. The results of the thermooptical testing are presented.
