Abstract
1. Unlike O-H and F-H bonds, under normal conditions Si-H bonds cannot be described as protonized only as more or less electronized. 2. In every concrete case, a change in the electronization of an Si-H bond that affects its chemical behavior must be considered in conjunction with other factors concerned with the structure of the reactant molecules and the reaction conditions.
