Abstract

We report on a study of the optical properties of HWE-grown PbTe doping superlattices using infrared photoluminescence and -cathodoluminescence. Below-bulk-bandgap luminescence has been observed and is interpreted in the framework of a model giving the excitation dependence of the superlattice potential. Cathodoluminescence is used to investigate the properties of nipi layers.
