Abstract

The use of IoT applications has been soaring for the last decades of the 2nd millennium and has reached its peak today. However, we note that the use of fiber optic sensors remains limited despite they have major advantages: they provide us with excellent resolution in the detection of certain parameters (temperature, strain, pressure, humidity, etc.). So, in this article, we are going to look at some IOT applications in which we use fiber optic sensors. We will also conduct a study on Bragg fiber sensors in combination with FIR technology for both, the simultaneous detection of temperature and Strain, and, the simultaneous detection of temperature and pressure.
