Abstract

The major issues that affect the design of a practical, high capacity optical broadcast network for use in a television studio are examined. The emphasis is on the development of an installable rather than an experimental system. The constraints imposed by practical components are discussed and a number of novel multiple star architectures are presented.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
