Abstract

This paper briefly reviews the application of optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR) to the study of recombination processes in semiconductors. Investigations of spin dependent donor-acceptor, bound exciton and bound triplet exciton decay processes in crystalline materials are discussed and ODMR studies of recombination centres in amorphous silicon are briefly reported.
