Abstract

The normal-incidence reflectance of single crystals of TiC0.95, VC0.86 and NbC0.93 was measured over a wide energy range between 0.5 and 100 eV. The optical constants in the 0.8-80-eV region are reported; they were deduced from a Kramers-Kronig analysis of the reflectance data by correcting for a surface-roughness effect using the measured roughness values. A numerical data table of the optical constants is also presented for TiC0.95.
