Abstract
To obtain main refractive indices of absorbing orthorhombic crystal TbFeO3 by measurement on a single crystal face, the method of immersion ellipsometry was applied. It allows the restoration of the full 2*2 reflection matrix of anisotropic media. An analytical solution of the inverse ellipsometric problem is obtained for orthorhombic crystals, and main refractive indices of TbFeO3 are determined at a wavelength of 0.63 mu m.
