Abstract

With the integration of three networks and the promotion of optical fiber access scale, the importance of independent planning of optical fiber network is increasingly prominent. The optical cable network(OCN) is the basic part of the communication network, which is often neglected. This also objectively causes that although the OCN is the main physical bearing network of the metropolitan optical transmission network, its planning and optimization work has not received due attention. In this paper, genetic algorithm(GA) is proposed to study and analyze the cable planning of power optical transmission network. This paper briefly analyzes the existing problems of the OCN and the planning basis and thinking of the OCN; The GA is used to analyze the cable planning and design of power optical transmission network. Finally, the GA is compared with the traditional algorithm through experiments. The results show that the GA can effectively solve the cable planning problem of power optical transmission network, and verify the reliability and effectiveness of the planning method in this paper.
