Abstract
The magnetocaloric effect at the spin reorientation under adiabatic conditions has been studied through observation of the optical absorption line and a thermal method with a magnetic field sweep. An adiabatic temperature change of 0.3 K is observed just below T SR = 10 K in ErCrO 3.
