Abstract

1. One optical absorption band of es− is observed in molten alkali halide mixtures, whose parameters have intermediate values between the values of the corresponding parameters of the es− absorption bands in melts of the individual components. 2. The energy of the optical transition is a nearly linear function of the molar composition of the mixture. 3. The obtained results serve as additional evidence that “solvated” electrons are formed in ionic liquids.
