Abstract

Knowledge of the parameters for individual optical absorption bands is required to determine the concentration of the color centers from the formula of Smakula and to plot the kinetic dependences of their accumulation. It is known [1-4] that the spectra for the optical absorption of irradiated glasses, as a rule, are poorly resolved; a fact which one can associate with the disorientation and the inhomogeneity of the structure of the glass and the necessary pressure of impurities. The necessity of resolving the optical absorption spectra into distinct bands arises in connection with the properties.
