Abstract

Opredelenie kontsentratsii primesey v morskoy vode po spektru yarkosti voskhodyashchego izlucheniya

Highlights

  • Optical methods are the most convenient for the global primary production and admixture content evaluation in the surface waters

  • Upwelling radiation spectrum depends on the presence in the water of the suspended particles and dissolved organic matters, such as mineral suspension of various origin, phytoplankton cells containing chlorophyll-a and other pigments and nonliving organic particles and dissolved organic matter

  • The concentrations of phytoplankton pigments calculated from the reflectance coefficient spectra were compared with data from the field measurements of chlorophyll-a [25], performed simultaneously with the optical ones

Introduction

Optical methods are the most convenient for the global primary production and admixture content evaluation in the surface waters. To overcome the aforementioned difficulties the specific wide-range highstable photometers for sea reflectance determination have been developed in some countries They measure simultaneously the downwelling irradiance, upwelling radiance, sky radiance by the same sensor, but through different optical channels. T1T2 Ed where n – the refractive index; rf = 0,02 – Fresnel reflection coefficient at normal fall; T1 – air-water interface transmittance; T2 – water-air interface transmittance; Lu – upwelling sea reflectance; Lsk – zenithal sky diffuse radiation; Ed – sea surface irradiance During such experiment the instrument case shadowing influence is rather great and to avoid it the measurements are carried out at 45° angle to nadir. The data measured during the strongest in recent years coccolithophore bloom [18] in July 2012 are an exception, when the maximum reflectance value averaged 4.5 %, and the individual values reached 6.6 %, while the shape of the measured spectra did not change
