Several studies suggested alcohol consumption was important factor as well. However, comorbidities were not shown to have a significant impact on quality of life. Conclusion: As a long-term disease, chronic pancreatitis definitely decreases quality of life. Questionnaires assessing quality of life should be included in chronic pancreatitis patients follow up routine to evaluate the effect of treatment.
