Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to highlight the unparalleled rapidity of Igbo success in post-Civil War years in Kano. Several questions arise - Why did Igbo businesses recover in such a short time? What factors were involved? What was the Role of the Igbo Community Association? Was the success of the Igbo the outcome of the new opportunities that arose in Kano after the Civil War? Were the Igbo successful because of their business strategies? These and other questions are answered in this study. (Humanities Review Journal: 2003 3(1): 58-66)
