Abstract
Tubercular meningitis (TBM) represents 1% infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB). Opisthotonos has been reported mainly from data from children with hydrocephalous. Consciousness is depressed in patients developing opisthotonos with further deterioration to coma. CNS infections by Mycobacterium abscessus (MABS) complex are rarely reported and carries a high mortality rate (35–70%).
